As parents, we want our children to develop skills that prepare them for life’s challenges. At Shin Gan Dojo, with over 25 years of experience teaching children, we’ve seen firsthand how traditional Japanese martial arts transforms young lives.

Beyond Self-Defense: Life Skills That Last

While practical self-defense is important, martial arts develops crucial abilities that extend far beyond the dojo:

🎯 Focus – Sharpening concentration helps in academics and daily activities
💪 Fitness – Physical health, agility, and motor skills improve dramatically
🛡️ Discipline – Self-control and positive habits form naturally
🌟 Confidence – Children build genuine self-assurance through mastery
🤝 Respect – Courtesy, honor, and consideration for others become second nature

Our Comprehensive Approach

Our Kids Ninpo Taijutsu program integrates five core disciplines:

  • Oaken Tai Jutsu – Punching and kicking fundamentals
  • Taihenjutsu – Falling and recovery techniques
  • Jujutsu – Throws, takedowns, and joint locks
  • Koppo Jutsu – Understanding body mechanics
  • Kosshi Jutsu – Pressure point awareness

Classes are held twice weekly for ages 6 and up. Only a uniform is required—we emphasize proper technique and partner training over excessive padding.
